This was guaranteed on 'Nirala', one of Dev Anand's early films.We get this information from an advertisement published in the February 10, 1951 issue of The Times of India.
Guarantees of return of advance booked tickets to the audience were "experimented" for two weeks at Bombay's famous Novelty Cinema Hall. This shows the filmmaker's confidence in his product and audience.
Dev Anand- The director of this film starring Madhubala and adorned with the music of C Ramachandra was Devendra Mukherjee. The film's story and dialogue writer and lyricist was PL Santoshi.

The story of the film was out of the box. There is a doctor who inadvertently turns down someone who loves her. The woman marries a rich king whose first three wives have committed suicide.
The music of the film was well played. A song sung by Lata Mangeshkar "Mahfil Mein Jali Uthi Shama Parvane Ke / Preet Bani Hai Jhoon Mein Jalaan" is still on the verge of rasikas after 70 years.
