Dev Anand's film was the first film in the world whose producers guaranteed the return of ticket money if viewers did not like it. This is unbelievable but true. This was guaranteed on 'Nirala', one of Dev Anand's early films.We get this information from an advertisement published in the February 10, 1951 issue of The Times of India.

Guarantees of return of advance booked tickets to the audience were "experimented" for two weeks at Bombay's famous Novelty Cinema Hall. This shows the filmmaker's confidence in his product and audience.
